I think that "trash" is a better word.

I was brought up to put family/blood first. Family is supposed to be supportive and not cross the line with regard to siblings spouse. Advise and observation is where the line is drawn. No family member should suggest nor encourage divorce and should support reconciliation and the couple must discuss disipline with regards to the others children. It should never come to making a choice between children and the relationship. However, respect must be given to the mate in question. So I say stupid.

It depends on the relationship you are going for. Dating, kids come first. Marriage, partner comes first and kids will be better adjusted. I suggest not introducing your kids to every man/woman/ you date. Wait for the right one to came along and after awhile (when your sure) introduce them to your kids. Just remember that while you andhe/she have had time to become close your kids have not so take it slow and easy while they are around for awhile. Then your kids will not feel suddenly overwhelmed by the change.
Remember that if you and your partner are happy and work things out together your kids will not only learn by your example but will feel safer and more confident in their own relationships later on in life.

It sort of depends...is the man/woman a spouse? If so, then it COULD be acceptable - especially in a covenant marriage because it teaches the children an important lesson about headship and serving others.
If it is a boyfriend/girlfriend, absolutely NOT.

I am 16, and when my Mom divorced my Dad for my now step dad, she *made* me move in with her and my step dad, but then she got selfish and put herself and him before me. They bought a house out of state and have me stay here at their other house and take care of it, while they are gone for weeks at a time. It sucks, I am hurt and I think my Mom is just stupid and selfish, and desperate.

If you look at mothers in the animal kingdom, where they just do what they are supposed to without the hang-ups we humans have, you will see that the mother will protect her off-spring from ALL dangers before she does anything else.....even if that includes protecting them from her mate.
We human mothers could learn a lot from that example, don't you think?

She is both stupid and desperate. I'm sure it's hard to balance it out but your kids should be your # 1 priority.

its both, stupid and desperate and it is also a posibility because sometimes the feeling of love make you blind and numb that you can do a lot of impossible and stupid things in an instant that you sometimes regret

No it's not stupid. It's because the spouse came first before the child was ever conceived and born! n
