No matter what, my foundation never looks good on my skin. I've tried every brand, high end and low end and it looks like crap. It looks good for an hour but then it like gets nasty, streaky, oily, accentuates my fine lines.. etc. What can I do to fix/prevent this? It's embarrassing!!

I don't think you are understanding what I am saying. It's not the foundation that is the problem it is my skin. My skin gets oily in some areas so then my foundation gets blotchy and gets into my lines. I've tried every type, powder, liquid, mineral etc. they all get the same way.

You might be in need of a skincare routine. Try using oil-free moisturizers, and cleansing your face 2-3 times a day. I don't have oily skin, but I did have a problem with fine lines. Do this.
Make your face wet every morning, and use a clean cosmetic sponge to apply facial cleanser. Then follow with an oil-free moisturizer (ask your dermatologist if you're not sure which oil free moisturizer is the best.) Use a sponge to apply concealer, and gently smooth it upward strokes towards the outside of your face. Whatever you do, do NOT apply concealer right under the eye or directly into your fine lines. It will sink into the wrinkles and make them more pronounced. Instead, apply concleaer around and close to the lines. That will even out your complexion, and your fine lines will not be as visible. Talk with your dermatologist if there are any other remedies to alleviate oily skin symptoms.

Try using a foundation primer. You want one that has silicone in it because it will float on top of your skin and help your foundation not settle into your lines and wrinkles. Helps to give a flawless finish. If you can go to a Sephora and ask for samples. They are free and they will colour match you and help you find the perfect one for you. Also, if oil is the concern try an something like Origins Zero oil to help reduce oil.

As a professional make up artist this is tried, true and tested buy everyone even top models. after applying your foundation use a large powder brush and cover your face VERY LIGHTLY with a light reflective translucent powder. i recommend Maybeline shine fee powder available in light , medium, dark, and very dark. Plus if your going out dancing try lightly spraying your face with a light hairspray. It really works and if you were to ask a dancer they would say the same thing. But PLEASE don't do this ALL the time as it will clog your pores and cause pimples and outbreaks. Hope this helps. :)

There is something that looks like lipgloss... only foundation. Carry that with you and if you do notice a spot where you need some cover up. Make sure its the exact same color... like try a brand that has what you put on in the morning, in the bottle, and the little foundation stick. I like Loreal's true match.

wash your face more and very good and then go to the make-up line you like, and ask the ladies that do facials and tell her what your problem is, ask her to show you some foundations that match your skin tone. Remember, the key to foundation is to match your skin tone and make it look more.

Well, you should carry a purse and keep the foundation in it. so that when ever you need to fix it up u take it out and put more on. also dont forget to bring a mirror. you can also buy products that clog your pores so that you dont have a oily look. trust me i usually have this happen to me too and im pale.

If you feel you must use foundation, try using pressed powder first. It will help the foundation stay in place.

um if you are using liquid you should try powder and use it very lightly. i think any brand will do but i personally like mac.
and if that still doesn't work i think your skin is really sensitive and you shouldn't use any foundation at all.
