do you have to have a stupid DVD player in your computer to play the freaking game???!!! I am so mad because the game won't load in on my computer. I put in the CD and nothing comes up. NOTHING!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!

are you sure its a CD and not a DVD?
If its a DVD then you need a DVD drive, your CD drive can't read a DVD.

it depends, you dont have to have a dvd player but you do have to have a computer with a high enough graphics card to be able to play the game, like old windows cant play the sims 2 because the graphics card is too low for the requirements. where as you cant play the regular sims on a really old computer for the same reason.
if you do, try clicking start then run.
also, i dont know if having an apple or a mac makes a difference?
