i'm giving up lent for lent this year ;)

I don't celebrate Lent - not my belief set.
But I do have a pet peeve about Lent.
If this is your religious sect, then act like you are a true believer in god and give up something meaningful for Lent - something that will be hard for you to give up. It is a time of sacrifice on your part, to commemorrate jesus's sacrifice. Don't give up broccoli if you hate it anyway and never eat it! Give up coffee for a month, give up chocolate, swear off Yahoo Answers for that 40 days.
Put some damn meaning into it.

i'm Christian, and that i do no longer understand what the Lent element is, besides giving some thing up, yet when I have been a Catholic, i'd better than possibly provide up Y!A-- Dang, like extremely some my existence would be ruined... :P desire it enables(:

Well I'm not Jewish but my one of my best friends are so to support her, I'm giving up going in the hot tub every chance I get although it's SOOO damn tempting.
