Earlier this season Wisconsin beat Ohio State, and the Badgers are sitting atop the Big Ten. Wisconsin has duked it out with some of the best they should be #1 for the first time in school history.

While Wisconsin will be number one, I think two things on the subject. First, the #1 you really want is to be seeded #1 in the Midwest bracket in three weeks and the Big Ten winner gets that. I think, even though you and Ohio State will be in the top five on selection Sunday, you have to think the other one seeds will go to UCLA, Florida, and North Carolina. Second, #1 is really a media thing in basketball. But Wisconsin will be a scary team wherever they are seeding. Just do not have, in my mind, that "it" thing which makes a team a national champion, but I could be wrong.

No, not at all. I'm sure you don't agree with me because you probably love Wisconsin but they only have played 3 different ranked teams the whole season (Ohio State when they were #5, Pittsburgh when they were #2, and Marquette when they were #17) . Plus, they only beat Marquette by 4. So what, they had a good game against Ohio State, so has Florida. Do they deserve to be #1? No. What should be interesting is a game against Ohio State on Feb. 25. If they can get a victory that game, then they should be taken into consideration for #1. I think UCLA really deserves to be #1. They got upset a couple times and lost another game by only 5 when their outstanding starting point guard, Darren Coliison, sat the game out.

Yes, Badgers #1. After they play Ohio State, the winner should be #1.
