Considering the broad variety of roles (including musical) that they've played, I'd say that Johnny Depp and Dame Judi Dench are the two most talented performers in film today.

Tom Hanks or Denzel Washington have good range, but Micheal Keaton is definitely under-rated. "Pacific Heights", "Desperate Measures", and "Multiplicity" really show his range and ablitiy.
Actress is a lot tougher, but I think Charlize Theron has proven she is more than just a screen beauty. "Monster" was such a difficult role and she deservese praise for it. Other great actresses Halle Berry, Scarlet Johansen, and Judi Dench have all proved their ablities.

I think that Sir Sean Connery is a very wonderful actor. He has done many different types of roles. Some that you never thought that he could pull off, and he was just great! He is quite handsome as well to be as old as he is.

I really think Tom Hanks is amazing...he brings something to every film he does...especially Saving Private Ryan and Forrest Gump.
