Samurai Champloo, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto, Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyo, Basilisk, Peace Maker Kurogane, Samurai: Hunt for the Sword, Shura no Toki, Afro Samurai, Samurai 7, Gintama, Ninja Scroll, Otogizoushi, Sanada Juyushi
are all samurai/historically based anime that you could try that all deal with samurai. Some people have Bleach listed but that's not a samurai based anime is about shinigami but is sword action based so something to try if you are just looking for sword action and not just samurai.

i've heard that the Samurai Wariors series by KOEI is pretty good. its from the company behin Dynasty Warriors, if you've heard of them
