We are usually pretty open about things. But, I feel nervous of what her reaction would be when she finds out I've had sex. Should I tell her? Should I just talk as if it was an idea of having sex?

By all means, your mother would appreciate knowing that you are sexually active. She may not be too happy about it, but deep down she will be thankful you came to her. Also, your mother is just the person to help you with birth control issues and the such.

If you are normally open about everything, then yes, you should discuss it. I'm sure it won't be an easy or pleasant conversation, but you should still have it. It's bound to happen eventually (sex that is).... boy, this is a tough one... I see both sides of your argument... talking and educating yourself is going to be better in the long run, there probably will be some repercussions (only an assumption as I don't know your family or need to) but the old saying is Honesty is the best policy... If you feel any guilt about the topic, that would be even more reason to look to your mom for support. Hope this helps and there's nothing wrong, we all do it at some point.

First of all it depends on your age.... If your around the age 14-16 or so approach her slowly... don't just hop this subject upon your mom, because it's sometimes a tough thing to discuss with your mom. First I guess see how she responds when you tell her about the idea of having sex. If she responds OK then go on just tell her.

I hope this helps

well yes your going to be nervous .and yes i think you should talk to her you feel a lot better and won,t have to be a fraid all the time . most likly she well ask you question and talk to you .but this is a good thing .even if she gets mad or not that is why she is your mom to be there when you need her no matter what .never be a fraid to talk to your mom no matter what or what any one tells you she is there for you good or bad

Tell her. You won't have that secret weighing you down, and she'll be able to help you out, give advice etc. If you're usually open with her I suspect things will go fairly well.

Regardless, be sure to tell your doctor that you're sexually active.

yes you should talk to your Mom
if you are really open with each other ,she can help you learn to take proper care of yourself=also a visit to the Dr wouldn't hurt at this point too

I think you should tell your mom just because i was 16yrs old when i got pregant. and i did not tell my mom tell i was 8 weeks until my preganancy. just so you can ease your mind and get some sleep at night. just tell her dont get mad at me if i tell you something. please dont get mad. that is how you get your trust with your mom. and you might want to go to the dr. just to make sure you are not pregant and dont have a std. just tell her. and make better desions next time. you dont want to be a teen mom. it is sad.....
