I disagree with your parents. It is unfair to not give you a Sweet 16 when your sister has had that & more. Each child should get the same benefits. One child shouldn't get more than the other, because it will look like they're being favored.
However, you could ask for something small from your parents, like having a few close friends over. If they give you an ich, don't ask for a mile. Be considerate of them giving you at least this for your Sweet 16. Ask for a few close friends & say you'll behave.
Have your own party with your friends, because you deserve it. Don't take it personally, sweetie. I'm sure they don't mean anything by it, but in your teenage years, you fight with your parents a lot.
Good luck!

Don't take this personally, you're parents definitely love you and aren't trying to take away your rights of a Sweet 16. Instead, maybe you should ask your parents if you can just have a few close friends over, or something like that, but nothing too big. A small party is better than no party, and to your parents, these parties may just be a big hassle. Don't take it personally, but in retrospect, sweet 16's aren't that big of a deal. Just think how much larger your high school graduation or wedding will be.

As a parent myself, I think your parents are very, very wrong on this. Every child needs to be treated special. Your parents not having a sweet 16 for you is ignorant.
On your birthday, get together with friends and have your own party. Go out and have a good time. Throw your own party! You deserve it. We are only 16 once!

I'm just a guy... but I think you should just let it go. Parents are parents, and sometimes they don't make sense, regardless of their reasons. Mine didn't make a lot of sense to me, either. But, when you turn eighteen-- provided maybe you have it somewhere other than at your parent's house-- you can have a party to celebrate all the things you couldn't celebrate before-hand. So yeah, just let it go... the less you think about it, the better off you'll be.

Not really. When u have your first child is very special. Maybe they don't realize that they have 3 more to care of.Talk to them and let them know how u feel and tell that even a small get together with your friends will be nice. Good luck!!!

I wouldn't take it too personally. Some people, because they are the oldest, get more. I know because I am the oldest out of 4. Ask if you can do something small, or mabey they are just hiding something from you(suprise?!?). You never know. don't plan something, just dont expect something. It helps the element of suprise sink in. But hey-dont worry to much.

Depends on how much older your older sister is and how old your younger siblings are. If ur younger siblings are like a couple years younger. Don't take it to heart, and if your older sister is like 10 or more years older. . .don't take it to heart.
