I'm going to vegas over march 18-24 for a modeling shoot. I'm extremely poor right now (think less than $400) to my name and need to find cheap airfare. I'm in wisconsin now. Where do I go to get the best deal on airfare, and when do I buy it?

www.travelation.com charges up to $25 per ticket for processing fees, thereby negating any real savings, as do many off shoot sites that are not Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, etc.

You are in Wisconsin, how far from Chicago? You can save between $50-$100 out of O'Hare as opposed to Milwaukee.

There is no ONE site that is going to give you all airfares available. Check Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, Yahoo Travel daily until you find a rate that is good for you. Also check airline websites direct as they at times are cheaper.

In response to people who think it won't work out, if it doesn't, your in the city of job opportunities anyway.

But yes as people have said i would try JetBlue, or Southwest. Although it really doesn't matter, pretty soon all airlines are going to be charging slightly above norm. due to march break. But between the two i would recommend JetBlue, just because i like the A320 better than the 737. Additionally, seatback satellite TV all the way down is an added bonus

P.S. Where are u supposed to stay in vegas with only $400 to your name?!? and remember the flight will take up some of that, so i'll just overprice it slightly and say your flight will cost $100. Your left with -- according to the info you gave -- $300.
Have fun with that :S

If they are having you pay your own way out their, I guess you have to pay for your own hotel also. All that's left is your FEE for the photographer and the cost for the pictures you wish to keep.

I know a guy that does this, he also sponsors beauty pageants and wants me to be a judge at some of them. I am married and not interested in the benefits of his scam. He feeds off young girls that are attractive and feeds their ego to get them to commit to coming out for a shoot. Ends up they drop about $1000.00, get some good pictures, are fed all the "your so pretty, so great, you will make BIG money in modeling..."

I even went to one of his "pagents" 20 girls and they were nice young ladies, average looks, but not what a true beauty pagent would have as contestants. On a scale of beauty being 1-10, I didn't see anything above a 5. Just kids that wanted a moment in the spotlite. It was held at a 2 star hotel, included dinner, all had their mom and/or dad there so they could glow about their baby in a pagent that had an entry fee!

If you are paying for all this as I suspect-dump the bum or at least call some agencies and ask about them.

DO NOT CALL his agency "list" he gives you. Its bogus and they are all in on it. Google the guy, his firm and references and the fraud will come out.

As a father to a HS Beauty Queen and a PaPaw, don't be fooled into this con. Beauty is within and chances are you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars to be told.

Sounds like trouble.

This is probably how a few women have ended up on the street. Stay home in wisconsin, it's not as bad as you think.
