Have her watch TLC for a baby story or the other various shows they have on watching the birth. They definetely show a decent amount of coverage of the actual birth. Hopefully watching something will make her think twice!

I checked out the video on Lamaze.org. I wouldn't suggest it. I don't think it is very real it shows them like they are not having a lot of pain. I think that you should have her watch the baby channel shows like bringing home baby and the er shows that have women having babies. I personally haven't had a hard time with any of my deliveries. But she should watch a good variety so she knows exactly what can and can't happen. Good luck with finding something.

Most hospitals have a birthing class for new parents. You should contact the director of that program, usually they are willing to check out materials, also some high schools have adult roles courses that have those videos as well, you could check into borrowing a copy from the school. I think most of those professionals would be willing to help you out!

Wow. That's a good idea. I hope she can handle it. I waited for 8 years of marriage to have my first child & it was b/c I'd seen a live birth. Completly freaked me out! I knew I was old enough/ready to have a child when it no longer did.

Hope you find one...
