i'm required to have sat testing for college...my college "recommended" deadline is march 1st. i've already applied and paid 40 dollars to do so. however i found out the i've missed even the late registration for the sat on march 10th which would actually be after my deadline. the next sat is sometime in the begining of may. the next ACT is in april. Does anyone have any suggestions more me, or know if i could call and possibly get into the march 10th testing...if it is in any way possible? thank you.

You need to contact the SAT test administrator at your nearest SAT school and ask to test "stand by." You'll need a paper SAT registration bulletin, which should be available in your counseling or college & career center.

Then, complete the paper registration, and be sure to put the college codes on it, where you have applied.

Arrive about an hour early the morning of the March exam and be first in line for stand by. Follow the instructions about payment for the test from the SAT administrator. You will probably get a bill from the College Board, or you might have to put a check in the registration bulletin forms. Do whatever the administrator tells you to.

If you are unable to find the SAT administrator, find your school counselor or school secretary and give him/her this information. Stand by testing is common, so keep asking for help until you find someone to help you.

The stand by test fee will be high - About $43 for the test, $20 late fee, plus $20 stand by fee Yikes!

Your score will meet your college deadline.

Good luck!

try for the ACT, call both the SAT and ACT and talk to them and plead for them to let you in. Its not like having to take the SAT is something new, why did you wait this long anyways?

I would also recommend going to a bookstore like Barnes & Nobles and getting an SAT prep book to help you learn the question format for the test and practice so you're less nervous and more prepared when the actual test time comes around.
