I am "dad" age and I know some chat language and acronyms. My only concern with that stuff is that proper spelling, grammar and diction are not forgotten as a result. Informal use is ok in informal settings, but please remember how and when to use the language formally and correctly. It is a major mark of how well-educated and wise you are.
