i own a repair shop,and the warranty usually means that for 50 thousand its guaranteed not to blow out or the tread run off of it or they will replace it ,but what they don't tell you is they pro-rate it,so they deduct for mileage ,and by the time its all over with you wind up almost buying the other tire,your actually better off buying a cheaper tire that has no warranty on it,because the warranty is not as they claim it to be,it always cost you at least half of the tires value,actually some of the better tires on the market now are the cheaper ones,good luck i hope this help,s.

Normally it means that if your tire wears out after before 50,000 miles they will offer you a pro-rated discount on an exact replacement. So, if the tire fails at 25,000 miles they will offer you a new tire at 50% discount- as long as the tire does not show evidence of abuse. And, abuse can include chronically low air pressure, bad wheel alignment, bad shock absorbers, even road hazards unless you have the separate road hazard warranty.

If the warranty pays out, it will be reduced by how many miles the tires have on them when they fail. If they go out the next day, you might get a free tire, but if they go after have been driven 55,000 miles, you won't get much.

Usually it means that if the tire requires replacement because of tread wear, the vendor will replace it on a pro-rated basis: if you got 25,000 miles on the old tire, the new one will be at half price. Read the warranty papers for details.

Read carefully the warranty information and it will give you the specifications. It probably does not cover abnormal wear due to bad alignment. The tread should not wear over so many thousands of an inch or millimeters over 50k if they wear more than specified they will replace. I believe they also cover broken belts in tires

go to the tire store where you purchased the tires or plan to do so and have the counterman explain this to you ----- the different tire companies have divided rules and opinions about what tire warranty should cover and what the liability MIGHT be in each case ....
