Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. A most unusual and entertaining read.

Okay, well you are obviously a guy and you may not be into this book, but hey check it out anyway, k?! The author is Cecelia Ahern, she is the daughter of Ireland's prime minister, and she writes awesome books. Great storytelling for a modern day writer. Out of the novel's she has written I think you should read "If You Could See Me Now".
Very heartwarming and has a great warm ending. This book will leave you feeling good, and it is very well written. (5 stars!) Hope you check it out and enjoy her writing as much as I do.

King's Blood by Judith Tar was a good one.
What else... hmmm - I've read too many lately to remember - a lot of anthologies, mainly.
Web Mage was also a good one - I think the author is Kelley McCulloch - but I could be wrong.

The Name Of The Rose by Umberto Eco
The movie is great, the book is better - fabulous descriptions and it really makes you think - and the end is ultimately uplifting.
