I need to know. Does it make sense for a man to respect you if you don't respect yourself first?

A man can have self-respect and not abuse the low self esteem of the women lacking self respect. Nurture her, not use her.

No woman should expect to be respected by her man if she doesn't respect herself. That works both ways. If someone is demanding respect but doesn't display any self respect, you have to make it clear that you can only give what you see.

It makes perfect sense. Too many women in this world don't know the value of self-respect — or any kind of respect, for that matter. They're perfectly willing to be treated like crap if it means having a man in their lives.

That is not true! I respect my self and love my self, and there are just some guys who just don't respect women at all. Its ridiculous....they are just lousy, low life, scum bags who have nothing better to do than to better their ego's by making a woman feel bad. Sometimes it is just an insecurity that the man has. All men want sex anyway...thats what it comes down too. Some wait, others just let you know in your face. If women are too uptight, they automatically assume that she is a *****. If she is too loose then she's also a *****. Men should respect women period!

Well... I don't know what the heck your talking about but... For what i can tell... Respect yourself then respect other people how you want to be respected. a person can expect what ever they want
what they get is totally is up to that individual
it don't matter if your a man or woman no one will respect you with low self esteem people will take advantage

It can happen in the reverse order -- a woman finds a man (or woman) who respects her, and it does wonders for her self-esteem.

Thank you. My point exactly. You have all these young girls going on Maury Povich & everyone thinks the guys are jerks but no one says anything about the girls who sleep around with more than 1 guy & I don't think that's fair. If we're going to hate the deadbeat dads we should also look down on those girls
