What should i do if my iBook4 turns on but freezes at the startup screen?

My Ibook is really annoying me, and I really wat to get on it. Please Help me!!!!!

I heard something about a reset switch on the board, also there was something about the CMOS battery. Try googling around for that, or write MacGeekGab Podcast.

Resetting PRAM and NVRAM

#1 Shut down the computer.

#2 Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.

#3 Turn on the computer.

#4 Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.

#5 Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.

#6 Release the keys.

That sounds like a serious problem that may require a Macintosh technical expert. You need to take your iBook in to a local Mac dealer and have them work on something like that.
