The West vs East all star game is so boring for many years. NHL always had the North America vs World for the all star game. However now NHL have the Eastern vs Western all star game.

the world team doesn't have enough top players to form an all star team
all this idea would be doing is robbing deserving guys of a chance to play
Name me the top 12 players who are eligible to play for other countries
and I'll show you what I mean

The NHL also re-instituted voting on their All-Star teams. I think if you have fan voting, you really can't use a USA vs. World format because too many good players would be kept off the USA team.

They should have USA versus World. Put Kid Canada (Nash) with his buddy Dirk and it would be a runaway for the World team.

They do it's called the World Championships and the Olympics. That's all they need.
