How many books are there? Is it longer than the tv show?

The anime has 95 eps., and it contains the story of the 28 issues of the mangas. There is also an OVA which tells what happened a few years later after the end of the tv-series (If you don't want to see a bad ending with Kenshin, better don't watch it.)
There is a second OVA, too. But I don't know what happens there, I haven't seen it.

Rurouni Kenshin has only 28 volume. The anime is longer than the manga.
