I failed a year...That too in Master's degree. I will have to resit some exams next year. I am depressed, stressed, traumatized....I can't face the world and tell this to my folks.

Face the folks - they care about you - the world is a busy place - everybody else is worried about their own failures and traumas.

Ask yourself how, what, when, where and who.

How can you not forgive yourself? It's doesn't matter how it happened. You can't change the past - but you can make another, better effort.

What went wrong? Forget it- but learn from it and get busy preparing and planning for next year.

What can you do? you can probably take extra night, summer and/or weekend courses

What do you want out of tomorrow? (you decide!)

What (job?work?lifestyle?family?) will make you happy 25 and 50 years from today if you do what it takes to finish your education ?

When will YOU give yourself a break? How about- do it NOW! & get back to work!

Where do you want to go in your future?

Do you want to still be WHERE you are today in 1 year, 5 years or 25 years? How about 50 years?

Who else better to face it with than your folks/family? They love you sometimes better than you love yourself!

Best Wishes!

I would strongly suggest going and talking to a counselor. The failing alone would motivate me, but that is me and you may have some underlying issues that we are not aware of. Why are you so depressed? What is stressing you out so badly? What has traumatized you so badly? These are all questions that need to be answered separately and dealt with individually. There is more here that what you are saying. Honey, you need more help than any one here can provide, go talk to someone soon. You should talk to your family, they may just be more supportive than you think. Good luck and God bless!! My prayers and good wishes are sent to you with this response.

Don't stress you can always do better thats the good part. Focus on your goals and how you want to reach them. Go into this next year with an attitude that you can and will succeed do your best that's all you can do, when you know you're focused and doing your best that's all that matters. Don't tear yourself down you're in college and trying to get an education be proud of that, there are people who don't have goals and who aren't pursuing an education. You can do it!! Good Luck.
