I never had this before and I haven't had sex for about 2 months now. My periods are regular and theres no change. Im guessing its dry blood?

You are right it is deoxygenated blood. When a preiod is heavy the discharge is usually bright red.
In a lighter flow it can be normal to see a rusty color discharge. Perfectly normal. As for the gap? Just break through bleed and may mean nothing. Women quite often get spotting occuring between cycles

it could be dry blood left over from your period.. its the way the uterus "cleanses" itself, to get all the stuff out. It could also be a sign of ovulation.
