Im buying a guitar for my brother, I picked the Jackson Warrior.
He loves death metal and speed metal so through research it seemed like the best guitar im buying it online from guitar center. Does the guitar come with strings or do I need to buy some? Which strings are good for playing metal??

Thanks

The guitar should come with strings, but for the type of music your brother likes I would reccomend either getting a set of heavy strings for that heavy sound, or a set of customs that have heavy strings on top and light strings on the bottom so that those blazing leads will be easier to play. hope this helps. P.S. if you go to a music store and ask for those customs they will know exactly what you are talking about.

If it's from the guitar center it will include strings. I'd suggest letting your brother pick his own strings (artists are picky - speaking of which, the guitar will not come with picks)

Good electric guitars are pretty expensive, some costing 700$ or even above 1000$ such as Dean, ESP, Schecter. Guitar companies that sell lower price guitars I know are B.C.Rich or Yamaha. I got a Yamaha for Christmas a while back that costed 300$ but broke on me. :( You get what you pay for. Then again you never know, their could be a good less expensive guitar out there.
