where can i find information on torture/punishment during the French Revolution?

i would like more information on what they used to torture/punish people with at this time, so far the guillotine is the only thing i can find as far as mechanisms they used for punishment/torture.

Ah, but the king outlawed torture. But then, the king was dead. As Victor Hugo, Charles Dickens, and a pile of others so well described, prisons themselves were torture aplenty.
