if im not mistaken, you have to see a specialist for that. those masks are custom made to fit the contours of your face. needless to say, they're not cheap, but well worth the money.

Normally you do have to go to a specialist for a mask like Rip's. But I've been to plenty of Piston games where I've seen fans wearing masks not as good as Rip's but similar.It may be possible to get a face guard somewhere other than a doctor.

you would have to go to a doctor to get a face guard because if any part of your face had been injured and repaired, the doctor will automatically recommend you wearing a guard to protect it while you play any kind of sports. i highly doubt you can find one at any sporting goods store because those things have to be fitted and contoured to your face.
