It usually states on the page where your purchase is descibed (US funds)

But if does NOT state UDS funds, then click on the "send message to seller" and simply ask him if he will accept Canadian funds for the article you are buying from him.

More important is make sure of the shipping charges. The article you are buying may require only $2.00 worth of stamps but MANY sellers add a $10 or more charge to shipping which is a NICE way for them to make an extra ten bucks off you.

In other words communicate with the seller IN ADVANCE. And if you are a Canadian be careful not to let them send the article USP. It often adds $23 more to your purchase and is NOT necessary.

That border between our two countries is still an EXPENSIVE WALL.

I've also purchased things from Canada through eBay. I believe when I clicked on the PayPal icon it just came up with what I was supposed to pay. I didn't have to choose. It worked the same way it works when I purchase something from the U.S.

Ebay will automatically convert the exchange,in U.S. dollars.
It should state the U.S. dollars on the auction page.
I just recently purchased a turntable on EBAY from Toronto.

The payment should be negotiated with the seller, before you send the payment. Paypal or otherwise, clarify the total price including postage before sending.

If the seller is from Canada, it's up to them if they want US or Canadian dollars, the type of currency is accepted is chosen by the seller.
