Under the Aeron chair, behind the big control box thing, there are 2 bars that extend the back of the chair..?

on your chair, are these bars loose and kind of wobbly? are they supposed to be that way? also, does your chair make creeking noises? i would really appreciate any help you can give. thanks a lot.
