I'd first try a Mr. Clean Magic eraser and if that doesn't work, a can of paint. Then put the permanent markers on a high shelf. Actually, do that right now. They're called permanent for a reason and anything that you use to get rid of them is going to effect your paint- either by stripping it completely or at least messing up the texture/sheen. Again, high shelf.

This is going to sound silly,but this happened in my own home.My son used a marker on the wall,and I punished him by working at it until it came off.Believe or not,he tried Febreze (not sure of the spelling) out of desperation and it worked! This was on a painted surface,though.Not sure of your situation.

magic marker made by mr.clean soak in warm water no soap first just water if not working try mild cleaning solution along with hot /warm water.
