Your better off checking your cervical fluid and charting your basal body temp. I was using a saliva scope for awhile but stopped because the other way is more reliable. If you are thinking of using the saliva scope for birth control then definately don't, for trying to get pregnant maybe, but charting is cheaper (about $40 for the scope $10 for the basal thermometer) and easier. If you go to fertilityfriend.com you can keep track of no matter which way you choose to go.

Just like ovulation predictor kits, the scope can be just as confusing. Especially with me, no matter what I always feel like I see two dark lines lol. Anyways, the saliva scope is easier than charting your BBT, (I would always forget) and the scope also isnt as hard to read as an OPK. Good luck with it all!

p.s. you can also find out when you are fertile not only by temps, but by cervical mucous &cervical position. Check out www.tcoyf.com
