The fastest way: seal it in a plastic bag (like a zip-lock bag) with just a little bit of moisture inside. I'd suggest sprinkling the bread with warm water (do NOT saturate it) before sealing it. Put it in a warm, dark place and watch it grow! Wheat bread is best.

It will take a week or so but start with the oldest slice of bread you have in your house. Put it in a container and add a little water to the container, and place the cover on it. Put it in the refrigerator and just wait. After about 4-5 days you might start to see fuzzy white stuff growing and it should continue to grow from then on. It might take up to a week to start growing
