He was very promiscuous, with both goddesses and mortal women. Also there was folklore that he could strike liars dead with lightning.

What do you want to know? He was the yongest of his siblings. His father Kronos ate all of his older siblings and his mother Rhea fed his father a stone instead of baby Zeus. Zeus freed his siblings and then banished his father and the other Titans to Tartarus (save Heph.). Zeus (like deus, or theus) means God. Zeus reigned as king of Mount Olympus and all the other gods and goddesses. He did not have the kind of respect from the gods and goddesses that we think of a king having. He was very powerful and didn't particularly mind using it so they said and did a lot of things behind his back. He was a womanizer and spent a lot of time annoying his wife, Hera (also his sister). There is a lot more information and there are some really great stories but you will have to research them. (He is Hercules' father, start there, that is a pretty good story.)

Zeus was the lord of the sky, gatherer of clouds and wielder of the thunderbolt, which was made for him by the Hephaestus. Zeus was known for sleeping with several different women and his wife Hera always tried to get revenge on them. In my point of view, Zeus is a jerk, he's rude, unfaithful and picks favorites (which always ends up in some disaster). He also was very prideful (being the top god and all), but he only got that job because him and his brothers (Hades and Poseidon) drew lots and the sky fell to him, not because he's so wonderful. Hera must've married him for power, I can see nothing else.
