In Spanish, it's pronounced "ay-vah."

I work with an Eva - short for Evangaline. She goes by "eeee-vah", and once in a while people pernounce it wrong as "a-vah". If it's "a-vah" you are going for, I've seen it spelled as Ava. I would suggest spelling her name as close to pernounciation as possible. I'm constantly correcting strangers on how to say my name - and it's a very common name that my mom threw just one extra letter in to make it different and people always get it wrong.
