How do you choice the right color of lipstick that look the best on you?

It depends on your skin complexion and the look you are trying to go for. As a general rule of thumb, it's best to choose a color that's either sheer or that matches your lip color as closely as possible. What typically makes natural lips look unappealing is their dryness, dullness and uneven coloring. A lipstick matching your normal lip color can improve your lip's texture and even out the color, and a sheer gloss can fix dullness by making lips glossy and shiny.

Try the samples in the store up againist your skin. Ask a cosmetic clerk. Try a make over at friends make-up party.
Try a vertual make over on the internet. Bring a friend shopping with you and have some fun testing makeup with each other.

Try a virtual makeover (just type "virtual makeover" into a search engine) or also try sampling different colors next time you are in a department store to find out which ones go best against your skintone. That's the surest way.

You'll just have to try the different colors yourself...Some people will go by whether your skin tone is "warm" or "cool"and then choose colors, but in my case, both look good...I guess choose whatever doesn't look too bright or flashy..unless that is what you are looking for..

test out different ones, you could ask an older sister or someone close to you that has experience in makeup. if that doesnt work you could always go to a store like macys and ask one of the make up clerks

go 2 the mac counter and ask them they should be able 2 try different shades on u for free hope u find a shade u like

i made lots of mistakes but i've found the right color for me... i hope it doesn't get discontinued! if it does... back to square one

welll i think that you should buy a few every time that you go to the store.try them on and which ever one you think looks really nice well use that one!!!!

normally, i don't put lipstick, it makes ya look old, just put lip gloss!!!!!!
