This means over-all stats not comparing each qb in his prime. For the record some of you have been saying that he holds the record for interceptions/td passes, he does not yet hold either however he does have the record for completions.

Brett Favre is definately in the top five. Some, Terry Bradshaw included, believe that he is the best ever. He is a warrior and a winner.

Brett in my book is one of the greats. Although the longer he plays he slips lower. Padding stats is what he is doing now. Amongst all time great QB's Brett is probably in the top 15. I believe Montana (as much as I couldn't stand him as a niner), Young(just a darn crybaby), Elway (as good as he was he did choke from time to time), Simms (yes Phil Simms was a tough SOB), Warren Moon (although he never won a big game), Randal Cunningham(scrambler), Aikman (who knows what would be in big D had he never been concussed so much), McNabb(damn good player just never gets a break), Thiesman (LT had he not broken his leg, would have still played on), Bledsoe (just can't move but, was a darn good pocket QB that has a riffle for an arm), Brady (I hate this guy, see previous QB), Manning's (all three of them Peyton just a damn competitor, Archie alot of action not much for talk, and pretty soon Eli will come to fruition if Coughlin finds a spark), Favre / Marino (here is a difficult one because Marino never had a team, he got his teams to the playoffs but, his defenses fell apart, Favre on the other hand when he made his playoff and superbowl runs, had Reggie White the Minister of sacks on his d as the captain with a head coach that had a brain). After these guys, I would probably list Unitas, Namath, Testaverde (longevity), Starback, and finally Terry Bradshaw (although only because he won superbowls as a dynasty).

Overall if you look purely at stats to championship ratios vs length of career, I would say all time great would = Montana, Young, Aikman, Elway, Favre, Bradshaw, Unitas, Namath, Payton Manning, Archie Manning, Phil Simms, Cunningham, Warren Moon and then the rest.

Brett would be a top five to ten in many circles.

Brett Favre will go down as the best quarterback of all time. In 2007 he will break Marino's TD record, passing yards record, attempts record. To say he isn't in the top ten because of one ring is an indication of the teams and coaches around him. Brett is the best, go pack.

I think he is atleast number two he is either beating or #2 to Dan Marino except for career wins which Bretts #3 (behind Elway then Marino)

The only QB that can compare to him is Joe Montana.Favre is better Brady,Manning,Unitas,Marino,Elway,Bradshaw,Staubach,or anyone else.He will pass most of Marino's records in the upcoming years and he has won the Super Bowl so he isn't a big game choker. If you say he isn't in the top 5 ever you are out of your mind.

I give him number two. He is about to break Marino's records but he does hold the all-time interception record. So he is #2 to me.

Top 3. I wish more players would play with the same heart and fun as Brett.

regardless of if i grow to be no longer a packer fan, he would continually be in the right 5. i assume Montana receives the props using tremendous Bowl Victories? He had Rice the completed time. inspect each and each and every of the diverse receivers Favre had in his occupation. Freeman and Schroeder weren't precisely premiere receivers.

his stock is declining year by year. It is unfortunate that he will not give up the game but instead is holding Green Bay hostage. I know they aren't a great team even without him but they need to start thinking about the future not reliving the past. If they had any balls they would cut his **** just like the 49ers did to Montana.
