My guess would be copies of transcripts to the phone conversations between Costello and Sullivan.

I think it is a copy of the disk that he sent to Matt Damons character Sgt Sullivan. In case something happend to him she could turn it over to police.

haven't seen it yet. if you liked The Departed then you should check out the chinese movie "Inferno Affairs." The Departed was the amercian version of it and the original chinese version was way better.
