you are talking about chapter 47 ("girls of the battlefield") that chapter is laying here on my desk right now!! (among many other mangas).....in the middle of the fight between ed and scars.... ed acuses scars for killing winry's parents but scar says nothing ..and is just standing there then winry who heard the whole conversation picks up a gun from the ground and trys to shoot scars, but ed unwilling to let windry become a killer jumps and shields winry from scars...ed then tells her "your hands are not those that kill people....they are hands that will let people live"
