there are some parts of the video that I still don't understand, no matter how many times i watch it, for example, why are they dressed like warriors?, also, when the band is walking through the tons of chinese soldiers, jared sees like a woman dressed in a black cloak, what does she has to do there?????

It probably is somehow related to politics and the power the leader of a country has. or how a soldier see's so much because he travels around the world fighting for a cause, even though he may not know wat it is. If you watch the full length video the kid emperor is asked wat he wants for his birthday, the kid answers in chinese but there is not translation unlike the other chinese dialogue that had translation. a cousin of mine who can speak chinese said it roughly translates to "the light of tommorow" or something like that along the lines of seeing the future. and i guess the future was people fighting? and 30stm incorporated themselves into the song. as for the three women and the ghost like lady and the guy whipping himself, they prolly represent the power the emperor has and punishment for sin? it was a really good music video btw

I've been wondering about this myself...I think I remember reading somewhere (no idea where though lol) that the video is based on The Last Emperor, so that would probably explain why they are dressed as Chinese warriors.
As for the ghost woman, maybe it has something to do with the fact that the song is called "From Yesterday", so maybe she's like the ghost of the past or one of the lives taken in the war that I think is mentioned in the beginning of the song...idk just my speculation.

in accordance to wikipedia, they're going to launch it after Christmas. that's driving me insane considering i've got been waiting for it for months now. "The video is not any longer going to be aired on December 5, quite that's going to air sometime after Christmas in accordance to MTV with a particular making of the music video aired on December 30"
