Is it true that world famous lifeguard Notch Johnson invented the ipod?

I don't know if Notch invented it by himself but the way I understand it is he played a major role in it's development.

No. It was invented by Jon Rubenstein, Tony Fadell, Stan Ng and Jonathan Ive.
