Definitely either California or Hawaii. I'd probably pick California, but that might be somewhat of a bias because I lived there for the first 24 years of my life. I only moved away because I got a job offer elsewhere and I couldn't afford to pay rent anymore and live comfortably. It's absolutely ludicrous.

Everything I would ever need or want is contained in California. I've often joked (sort of not-really joking, actually) that the state would be better off if it seceded from the US and created its own nation. It's got the economic and political power to do so, and most everyone I've met hates the state anyway (most of the polite people apologize when they find out I'm from California, the rest scream at me in unintelligible garble I've yet to understand), so what's the holdup?

By the way, not everyone in Los Angeles is in movies, music, or modeling. But for some reason that doesn't stop people from the rest of the nation from moving there, thinking that they'll hit it big if only they got a chance to show what they could do and end up as receptionists or doormen or security guards in these industries. Pretty sad, really, like watching a train wreck in slow motion because everyone knows what's going to happen but you just can't look away because you might miss it.

California! Specifically the San Diego area - beautiful weather year round and plenty of things to do.

No contest.Hawaii. Not only does it have the best climate on the planet, it has the friendliest people and the greatest accessibility to water activities and other sports events.

That's easy! Jersey! Just saying it makes me happy: Jerrrrr-sey. LOL. Nice temperate weather (all four seasons, I mean), mountains, beach, farms, city. A little of everything. Not too shabby if you pick the right spot.

Texas. Seems to be the only decent state left in America.

Texas, great climate, no personal state income tax, and 22 million residents can't be wrong.
