That's pretty much their business, however you probably do have a lot of guys like Tim Hardaway who just don't speak up, so they probably would face some hardships in that way.Unfortunately it could cost them endorsements, and fans,but it could gain them fans as well-and notoriety, and maybe some other endorsements. If it was a current athlete in one of the big 3 sports today. Some people would compare them to Jackie Robinson. Even though I think that those are two different situations. It's a million dollar decision to make for oneself.
Personally I wouldn't want to be the first one, I'd rather make my money and come out in retirement. If I could hide it.

Thats totally up to them. If they want to deal with all the stuff that comes with it and its that important that people know then yes. If they dont want to deal with it and can hide it for the rest of their lives then no.
