Ok, in Australia our water supply is going down fast, we have not had a lot of rain.
The idea here now is to recycle sewerage water, what is your thoughts?
Quiet frankly, I am not to fussed about the idea.

Where I live the drinking water comes from the Mississippi river, and most every town on the river dumps their "treated" sewage into the river.

The science center in St Louis Missouri used to have a water cooler with horrible looking brown water complete with swimming fish to demonstrate water filtration.
Both are safe & free from any foul taste, but knowing where it came from isn't very appetizing.

Its not needed
it was just bad management of Beattie
he never catered for all the extra people coming to our state 1500 every fortnight & never even raised the dam walls etc
I will leave the state first before I will drink any of it ! yuk little aborted babies go down the loo too & that is a major turn off for me
its been the same all over Australia no dams have been built & all the storm water is wasted & cotton & rice farms should recycle their water because they use millions of litres

We already do, but advances in technology have made it possible to do so safely. Sewage is recycled by separating solids from the water, and purified using chlorination and enzymes to destroy bacteria. The solids are dried, ground and then further composted and used as agricultural fertilizer, and often labeled 'organic'. The reclaimed water is not directly placed back into the water supply, but discharged via pipeline into the oceans to allow natural recycling before being reused in municipal water supplies. I am not entirely sure of every detail, but this is roughly how it works. And, yes I drink tap water and live in an urban area, so by default I already do. Thank God for Brita!!!
