i have talked to the doctor about this. she doesnt think anything is wrong. she doesnt really think its her acid relux but she wants me to keep giving her the medicine anyways. she sleeps with the head part up. i know not all babies are alike but my first child slept through the night at 2 months. so it makes me kind of worry. i didnt have any of these things with my first baby.

Deja vu!

My daughter 6 months old and still getting up every 2 hours in the night. My doctor also said that it was not necessary for her at 6 months to get up more than once in the night and to let her cry it out. He said to let her cry for five minutes then go get her and feed her or cuddles or whatever you do to get her to go back to sleep. The next time wait 10 minutes before you go get her then wait 15. If you do this, she should be sleeping through the night (getting up only once) in three days. My daughter never got to crying for more than 20 m inutes before she went back to sleep.

I know you have another child sleeping, but you really do have to take care of this sooner rather than later. This is not a good habit for your baby to be forming.

Your other child can have a longer nap during the day if this causes them to wake up in the night.

Some babies do wake up more at night. It could be that with the acid reflux comes gas which makes her uncomfortable then she wakes. By getting her up and fed it helps the gas because you burp her or she can do it herself. Some people and some babies cant burp laying down. Try letting her sleep in a semi sitting position. or elevate the head of her bed.Try burping her when she cries at night and see if she does burp. If so then the gas is bothering her. You can get drops for baby gas at the drug store or supercenter.

My sister-n-laws last son had acid reflux, but I don't think he acted like that. She had to make sure he didn't choke and she kept a very good eye on him. Maybe your baby isn't getting enough to eat? I'm not a parent yet, but I have been around babies my whole life and I know a thing or two.

This sounds normal to me. My first child hardly ever slept. My second child slept so much that I was concerned it was abnormal. I know it's difficult, but lack of sleep is normal for mothers.
You could see if she has an ear infection, but it doesn't sound like it to me.
It will pass. Good Luck.

Such symptoms - surely you have a pediatrician? Is this your pediatrician's diagnosis? One thing all mothers should know is that without a full picture, especially with refernece to such a young baby, few other non-doctors, nurses can help you. See a pediatrician.,

Let her cry it out. It won't hurt her. Within a week, two at most, everyone in your house will be getting a good night's sleep. Every time you respond to her in the night you are affirming her bad habit. Help her break it.
