I need one for a compact guitar affect pedal. Its a hassle to have to buy new batteries all the time. Don't answer by saying ebay or something like that.

Radio Shack, my friend...Bring the pedal with you to make sure it fits and works.

Does the pedal have a jack for an adapter? If not, you're stuck with using a battery. If it does, go to Radio Shack. Make sure you bring the pedal with you so an adapter plug can be fitted. They have loads of adapters (wall-warts if you will) and the power plug to fit. If there is no provision for the adapter, then get a couple of rechargeables and the charger. It will cost a few bucks but you will save a lot in the long run.
