Sure you can. Baby formula is a food product. You can also apply for WIC which would be a HUGE help to you!

YES, food stamps can buy you baby formula or anything that has to do with food no matter what state your in. You can also take advantage of the WIC program which is the women infant program. For the first 6 months after you give birth they provide milk, cheese, eggs, juice, peanut butter, beans, tuna fish, cereal (hot or cold), an most expensively they provide formula for the baby. And after the 6 months they provide this for the baby up to the age of 5 years.

Food stamps can be used to buy any food item. But I'd also check to see if you are eligible for WIC, which would cover the formula and allow you to spend your food stamps on yourself and your other kids, if you have any. Formula is expensive!

I don't know if food stamps will buy formula, but I kow you can get WIC and it pays for formula. Just go to your local health department. They pay for milk, cheese, carrots, tuna, peanut butter, formula, and a few other things. If you get food stamps, you should easily qualify for WIC.

You'll have to go back in and have them change what you can get, I think. If you're on food stamps then you can probably qualify for WIC that covers formula and all that grocery store stuff, I'd call the person who handles your food stamp case and they can tell you what you qualify for.
