If you are a beginner, I recommend essence of beauty brand, sold at CVS or sonia kashuk sold at Target - really good quality brushes. For applying eye liner, I actually get some from the art store.

Bobbi brown. they have persicion brushes angled for perfect application

I wouldn't put too much money into the brush. You have to replace them frequently becuase of bacteria.

mac is ok too but i only dig their fluff eyeshadow brush.
