Nurses cared for Anna's 105 degree fever by icing her body down. I'm all for that, but the care-taker chose not to take her to the hospital for fear of publicity.
Screw that! Get the publicity if that is what it takes to save the girl's life. Her death caused more publicity than any hospital care.

I totally get what you're saying about her lifestyle, letsget_d..., but that does not -in any way - , mean she had it coming or that was her fate. No one deserves to die by being neglected. Even if the nurse did feel it wasn't as bad as it was, she still should've taken her to the hospital.

Yes if someone had just taken to the doctor. But I read a doctor flew to Florida from California did he inject her with something?
What did that doctor do exactly?
Really I think if that doctor did fly to Florida than he would be to blame for her death.

I'm not totally familiar with the final conclusion as to how she died, but reading what you wrote I would say the nurse probably thought her condition was not as bad as it turned out to be. Am pretty certain that she didn't keep her from the hospital knowing she was in risk of death. So with that logic the nurse didn't let her die to avoid publicity at all. ...and to address your question could her death have been prevented, most likely as probably the majority of deaths in the world could be prevented. But you need to realize she lived a questionable lifestyle and many things she did could have also changed her fate......Lets

O yes, definately! It's like they say. "When you're famous, people just give you what you want but not necessarily what is good for you". That goes for that guy she was going out. What if they didn't want the hospital to know that she'd been living on the edge for several years with the mixture of medicine and alcohol? The fact that she was a new mom should have put people on high alert because she was no longer living for herself. Her actions were affecting a newborn baby. Not party time! And all those changes you go through when you're pregnant and grieving for the loss of your son. The judge said, " I only had to deal with the stress for three days. I can't imagine having all this stress for my whole life." So, finally, the cable just snapped and no one was there to catch her when she fell. Janis Joplin died like that, I think.

Yeah, she should have been rushed to the hospital, even when she had the high fever. Just icing her isn't enough. If she was rushed to the hospital, definitely, she'd be alive today. "Protecting her from the pubic" did more damage than saving her life!! How could anyone even think of doing that?

Neglect, in my eyes, is one of the biggest crimes one can commit. Look at Elizabeth Taylor when she's been taken to the hospital when she was ill. There was a lot of publicity, but she's still alive, regardless.

You are absolutely right and someone needs to be held accountable. Any nurse who would not seed medical attention for someone with 105 degree temperature needs to have her license revoked. I believe it's called malpractice.

Anna Nicole is NOT trash, no one should have things said about them, especially after they have passed over. It probably could have been prevented, and I wish it had for her baby. But it seems fitting for who she was and she is in a better place now, with Marylin Monroe. Rest in Peace Anna <3

I wasn't aware that her body temp. was 105. Then I don't understand why everyone is screaming prescription drugs?
Apparently she had a bacterial infection that can kill you in just hours. I know I almost died myself from this infection.
