You are taking a very rigorous course load, which is what highly selective colleges look at first. A C in AP history won't keep you out of a top college.

Keep working hard, and really try to learn in your classes - don't just focus on the grades. This will allow you to score higher on the SAT, which is also a critical piece of college application.

There are hundreds of "good schools" out there that will be delighted to admit you if you continue with the rigor of courses that you have taken this year.

Good luck!

AP training are incredibly substantial, yet so are grades. A B in an AP classification would be as solid as or extra advantageous than an A in a prevalent classification, so in case you think of you could handle a minimum of a B, decide for the harder training. faculties gets exhilaration from that. yet once you extremely think of you may get a C in an AP classification, you're in all threat extra advantageous off with prevalent, the place you will conceal much less cloth and learn it properly incredibly than masking lots and not understanding a million/2 of it. while you're on the fence, it incredibly is recommended to take AP training on your maximum efficient matters and prevalent ones in those you do no longer do besides in. you're able to take a minimum of a few in case you could; in case you get in the present day As yet do no longer take any of the AP training your college promises, it is going to seem such as you at the instant are not keen to project your self.

It really depends on what you consider a good school. I got a few C's, but mostly B's and A's. I was lucky enough to get into all of the schools which I applied to. I consider all of them to be good, especially in the field I wanted to major in (engineering). They are all public universities, but they had a good reputation. I didn't apply to ivy league college, but I am very happy with what I did get into. It also depends on the department. Some departments have more requirements than the overall university. If there is a specific school or schools that you are looking at, they often post ranges of the GPA and either ACT or SAT scores that their most recent group of incoming students had.

Youre lucky you dont go to my school...If you get anything below a B in an AP class, you get dropped and have to take the regular level equivalent.
