My Wife believes that my 5 yr old son has some sort of psychic abilities - to be able to hear things and see things that are not there, due to some of the things my son has said and done around our house.

I too have heard some of the things my son has said, but am not sure - because I do not trully believe in all this psyhic stuff, and want to find out more as in is this is real or just him being a child with an over active imagination?

My wife would like to get him tested to see if he does have this gift - and I would also, just to see if this is real or not.

Does anyone know of a Psychic that works with Children, someone who can either tell my wife yes he has a gift - and explain to me just what this gift is?

I heard of places that work with children - but am unsure who they are and how to contact them?

The Indigo Child may see auras as lights or colors around other people. And show an uncanny ability to sense dishonesty. Destined to be one of tomorrows psychics yet often identified or suspected of having Attention Deficit Disorder – ADD http://www.psychic-junkie.com/indigo-child.html

I am not sure i believe all that either, but being a parent myself i feel the need to caution you about letting anyone "poke" around in your child's head trying to invoke some kinda psychic talent. Your son is still very young and i think if you give him a little more time he will be able to answer it for himself. At least he will be older and less vulnerable to someone screwing around with his mental state. Most the self proclaimed Psychics i have seen are nothing more then talented liars, who for monetary gain prey on others trust, usually telling them what they wanna hear. They also never look wrapped to tight either if you know what i mean? So i guess it comes down to asking yourself, "do I really want someone like that messing around with my 5 year old sons head just to answer a question my wife has"? And if a "psychic" says he is also psychic, then what? Now you have labeled him with something that makes him different than most other kids and will surely make his childhood change for the worse!!! Leave him be, its hard enough growing up these days. Good luck whatever you decide

There are a lot of children showing psychic abilities. There are several books and even a movie based on Indigo Children. These psychic children are developing their own websites and coming together to make a difference in the world.

Do some research and see if your child fits into this group or one of the new groups (crystal, rainbow) that have emerged since the Indigo. There are schools around that work with them as well.

By educating yourself, you'll know what to look for in your child and come to some conclusions about his abilities. There are very simple questions you can ask your child to see if he has abilities.

I listed one site for you to explore but there are many.

The Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Also look them up on the web. I have no doubt that your child is gifted with psychic abilities. It is my belief that all humans are born with these abilities, but lose them throughout childhood for a number of reasons. Good Luck and God Bless your family.

Uh, there's a bit of difference between psychic and physics. But if the child has these abilities, he should be able to contact the psychic himself!

Yeah, he's just making it up. A lot of kids do that - your wife is pretty gulible. But if she can find something you can test, it's pretty easy to do so. Check out James Randi's website for ideas on how to test for psychic abilities. He offers a million dollar prize to anyone who can show they have these abilities - so far, no takers. It's been around for 30 years - that might convince your wife.
