I have a video ipod, about 4 months old. I keep having to reboot it, more and more frequently. Today it pretty much is worthless; it stops a few seconds into most songs, is dragging - if I advance to the next song takes a minute or two before it performs that action. Grrr...anything I can try here before I take it back to the Apple store?

Update - I've downloaded the newest iTunes, and have actually noticed that it hangs on music but plays tv shows perfect - no stopping.

Go to itunes and download the latest version 7. http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Install this and should fix the problem.

If you have songs on there that came from a site other than the legal kind (lol) then they could be messing up your i pod. Take those off and see if that helps. You can reset it to default and try and see if that works. When you plug it into your computer and itunes pops up there should be an option that lets you reset it.

Try the reset/reboot/restart option on Apple.com, that's what took care of mine...
