This is a good question for mothers, What can you do to get back at someone who makes you clean up after themselves

Eg, if they leave their clothes lying around chuck them out the back door etc. Maybe something not so harsh, like if they dont do their dishes - dont cook them dinner but cook everyone else dinner.

Its my brother thats the lazy one btw. thank you!

My husband got broke of this really quickly. I would simply throw his messes into his room or car. Like putting the jug of milk he left out in his eclipse on a hot, hot summer day. And he got over it real quick.

I made my daughters keep their mess in their room and I kept the door closed. I got tired of being their maid. I also quit doing their laundry and made them do their own. That helped a bit but their rooms still looked like disaster areas most of the time. It wasn't until after they moved out on their own, that they started cleaning up after themselves. Funny how they could stand their own mess in my house, but it wasn't okay in their own house!!

Make him find a new place to live. Short of that, take away some of the things he likes to do- that should help him get the message. and if that doesn't work, let him live in his own filth.

You can't change other people. Change the way you feel about it.
