My husband and I wish to relocate to, well, somewhere other than northeast Ohio. We both work from home, so jobs are a non-issue. Some considerations:

- We must be close (within 1 hour's drive) to an airport (my husband travels a lot for his job)
- Sun is a BIG plus. It is cloudy here 205 days a year on average, and we're looking for a change.
- Culture and a good local music scene a must.
- We make a combined $85,000+, so a reasonable cost of living is a necessity.
- We don't plan on having kids for another 3-5 years, so schools aren't necessarily important (though I think a desirable place to live and good schools are certainly positively correlated.)

We've considered
- Phoenix/the Southweast
- Denver area
- North Carolina (Raleigh?)
- DC

OUT of the question (unfortunately) is California, because of cost.Though, if I could afford it, I would move to San Diego tomorrow.

Thoughts? Anything to narrow down the VAST choices is appreciated.

I was going to say N.Carolina. Around the Raleigh Area. Cary is a nice city to live. crime rate is very minimal. you re 20 minutes from RDU airport. weather here is really nice. very seldom do we see snow. hot in the summer somewhat cold in the winter. i wear t shirts mostly in the winter. i live about 45 minutes from RDU Airport. Id really consider here.

Before I even looked at your choices the first place I thought of was someplace in Arizona. At least that is where would like to live.I think it is a very beautiful state and aside from a few bigger cities there the state is not too heavily populated.
